Democratic Congressman Accuses Trump of Coordination With Putin

They could be called by Robert Mueller and his team to explain what they learned about this June 2016 Trump Tower meeting.

Finally, the emails show that the US president's eldest son was enthusiastic about the idea that he could get some dirt on Hillary Clinton from the Russians.

Mr Akhmetshin said he has not been contacted by the special counsel's office or the Federal Bureau of Investigation about the meeting with Mr Trump Jr.

The president's son has tried to discount the meeting, saying he did not receive the information he was promised.

Several congressional panels and federal investigators are looking into claims that Russian Federation meddled in last year's U.S. election in a bid to help Donald Trump.

Someone else, turns out, was in the Trump Tower room along with Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort and Don Jr.: A Russian-American U.S. citizen by the name of Rinat Akhmetshin.

Professor Richard Hasen teaches law and political science at the University of California, Irvine, School of Law and was very focused on the exchange of the plastic folder of documents. The newspaper reported yesterday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter, that Manafort disclosed the meeting to congressional investigators questioning his foreign contacts.

"Zero happened", the president said.

Born in Russia, Akhmetshin served in the Soviet military and emigrated to the US, where he holds dual citizenship.

International Mineral Resources hired a private investigator to follow Mr Akhmetshin to London.

He added that while he preferred a phone call, he "decided to take the meeting" because the lawyer was in NY.

We're not naming that lobbyist.

The law, which froze the assets of senior Russian officials, angered President Vladimir Putin. Akhmetshin himself later confirmed that he was indeed at the meeting. He also said he showed up in jeans and a T-shirt.

"That is not correct", Akhmetshin said. But he says he'll answer if they call and adds: "I'll do whatever it takes to clear up this Russian collusion delusion".

Agalarov is a pop star and a client of Rob Goldstone, a music publicist who arranged the meeting with Trump Jr. Donald Trump worked with the Agalarovs during the 2013 Miss Universe pagaent in Moscow.

What was the meeting about?

The hire, which Bloomberg and NBC confirmed through anonymous White House officials, comes after news broke that the President's son held a meeting with a Kremlin-linked attorney on the premises that he would receive damaging information about Hillary Clinton from the Russian government.

The top Democrat on the House Intelligence committee says reports that a second Russian person was in a meeting with Donald Trump Jr. last summer "adds another deeply disturbing fact about this secret meeting".

She also suggested that making the information public could help the Trump campaign.

"As far as my son is concerned, my son is a wonderful young man". "They couldn't wait for the meeting to end", he said.
