Man rescued after being trapped for 3 hours inside ATM

But it turned into a hazard for a Texas man who became trapped while trying to make repairs at a Corpus Christi bank. However, one of them made a decision to call the police. He did not have his phone on him, so he slid messages to customers through the receipt slot asking for help: "Please help".

As Senior Officer Richard Olden told Action 10 News, "We come out here, and sure enough we can hear a little voice coming from the machine".

The police kicked down the door and got the contractor out of the room safely, though even the cops thought whole thing was a prank at first. One of the notes read, "Please help".

The repairman wrote "several" pleas for help to people using the drive-through ATM, but it is unknown how many notes were passed on.

"You can't just turn the knob and exit", Lieutenant Hooper said.

In a weird incident, a Texas ATM was dispensing handwritten notes reading "please help" on Wednesday.

It was around 2pm when the police arrived the spot to rescue the man. "I'm stuck in here" before imploring people to call his boss. "Please call my boss", a note broadcast on Houston TV station KHOU showed.

Police freed the man, but since there was no crime committed, details and records are slim, Lt Hooper said.
