A, B, C, D subways disrupted due track fire in Harlem

A report of a trash fire near 145th Street was made at 7:24 a.m., FDNY said. Some were also trapped aboard a D train for about an hour. 11 were taken to local hospitals.

One woman was was temporarily trapped on the D train wrote: 'We're stuck on a s/b D train near at the 145th stop vehicle # 2536.

As an alternate for the A and C, the MTA is advising riders to use the M3 or M4 bus or the 1 train, which frankly looks like a complete disaster. A woman is having a panic attack and they will not open the doors'. But there were other incidents that caused delays, too: signal problems in Queens, a sick passenger in Manhattan and an "unruly customer" in Brooklyn. The station was filled with smoke'. B train service resumed with delays after being suspended between Bedford Park Boulevard and Brighton Beach in both directions.

Shuttle D train service was running between 125th Street and Norwood-205th Street in both directions.

"Literally a thousand people waiting at 1 train, and train just drove straight through - we are all gonna be late for work", she tweeted a short time later. There is no C train service between Euclid Avenue and 168th Street in both directions.

It's among a series of challenges that transit users have been facing while getting to, from and around New York City.
