Bayern Munich CEO Plays Down Alexis Sanchez Interest

Portuguese publication @Record_Portugal report that AC Milan have offered to take Renato Sanches on loan with a €47m option to buy.

Sanches was one of the most sought after young players in the world past year.

Last season at Bayern, Sanches only made six Bundesliga starts for Munich, he only played in 17 league matches in total, while he failed to contribute a single goal or assist.

He helped Portugal win Euro 2016 and was named the young player of the tournament.

And Sanches could be next, with reports suggesting the Italian giants are looking to bring him in on a two-year loan deal with the option to then sign him permanently for €40m - similar to the deal Bayern did with Real Madrid to bring in James Rodriguez.

But the youngster struggled to make an impression under Carlo Ancelotti, who preferred the likes of Xabi Alonso and Arturo Vidal.

Negotiations between Bayern Munich and AC Milan have already begun but the two parties are still very far from reaching an agreement.

Speaking recently, Bayern's chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted Sanches could be loaned out this summer.

AC Milan are keeping tabs on Renato Sanches, and will attempt to prize the midfielder away from Bayern Munich this summer. 'But we did not get any further.

The Bavarians considered making a move for him, but there have been suggestions that the German champions are anxious about the financial repercussions of the deal. At the price their CEO quoted, you would wonder if Jose Mourinho would be interested in signing the midfielder.
