Caitlyn Jenner says she may consider running for US Senate

Transgender activist and former Olympic gold medalist Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce Jenner, told a radio host she is considering running for the U.S. Senate.

Caitlyn Jenner said that she's now looking into where she can do a "better job" of promoting LGBT rights and considering a run for the US Senate. I work very closely with a group called the American Unity Fund whose mission statement is to get the Republican Party to do a better job when it comes to all LGBT issues.

"Can I do a better job on the outside?" But, unsure of where her activism will take her, Jenner said she didn't know whether she could have a more significant impact from inside the government or outside of it. "I like the political side of it", she said.

Jenner's "six month" timeline suggests if she does choose to run, it would likely be in 2018. Dianne Feinstein won re-election in 2012 with 63 percent of the vote, earning her a relatively safe rating from the University of Virginia's Center for Politics. And I told them you are the next generation to go in to control the Republican party, in 10, 20 years from now, you're going to be in control. On Sunday, she said she's meeting with United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.

Either way, he's considering a run for a California political seat, with the aim at improving the GOP's handling of such sensitive matters as transgenderism and gay rights. I like the political side of it.

He initially announced an interest in public office during an interview with CNN's Don Lemon in April, adding that now he "has no more secrets".

Jenner has once again confirmed that she is considering a political career after she suggested that she was "looking into" becoming a politician in order to fight President Trump's anti-trans agenda.

'I have had a ton of emails and texts asking me if this website is real ...

"I believe in little things like the Constitution".

If Caitlyn Jenner successfully transitions from reality TV star to politician, she will be one of many who has done the same.
