Iraqi Forces Kill 25000 ISIS Elements in Mosul Operation

After meeting the families of 39 missing Indian citizens in Iraq, Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj on Sunday said she instructed the Minister of State V K Singh to leave for Iraq to rescue the stranded Indians. However, no concrete clues emerged of their location. Devinder Singh, brother of one Gobinder Singh, said, "We have been told that it might take two to three months before the fight is over in Badush". "Nearly everyone is disheartened but we hope wherever all youth are they remain safe".

The minister told family members of the men, who had been abducted by terror group Islmaic State from Mosul, about information received by Minister of State for External Affairs, V. K. Singh, who had gone to to Iraq.

Swaraj had also assured Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh that her ministry was making all efforts to trace the 39 missing Indians, who are mostly from Punjab.

He added that every family was waiting for good news. Though fighting is on in the village the defeat of the ISIS in Mosul has raised hopes for the liberation of the jail, where the ISIS had massacred more than 650 Shia prisoners in June 2014.

In relevant remarks last Tuesday, Deputy Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Brigadier General Massoud Jazzayeri underlined that the Iraqi army and popular forces actually defeated the U.S. and other supporters of terrorists by capturing Mosul and Iraq's territories.

They were briefed that the missing Indians were now detained in a prison in Badush.

On Monday, three years after the militants seized the city and made it the stronghold of a so-called "caliphate", Abadi formally declared victory of the country's forces over the terrorist group a day after the military and PMF took full control of the northern city. "We called family members of all those who were abducted in Iraq".
