American Horror Story: Emma Roberts Returning for Cult

American Horror Story: Emma Roberts Returning for Cult

As we approach the premiere of the seventh season of FX's hit horror series, American Horror Story, we more details about the cast of Cult, the next installment in the anthology universe, are escaping into the wild like, well, people fleeing a cult.

The FX drama's creator took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal what could very well be Emma Roberts' long-awaited return to the horror franchise. Bates, an acclaimed actress who made a name for herself by starring in films such as Misery, Titanic, Fried Green Tomatoes, and many more, now has a new television project in the works that is preventing her from returning to AHS.

The cast of "American Horror Story: Cult" is shaping up, but little is known about the plot, other than the season somehow being inspired by the 2016 presidential election.

Since American Horror Story began in 2011, we've been wondering whether each individual is part of something bigger. She joins returning players Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Mare Winningham and Adina Porter. The fan favorites will be playing a couple, which Ryan calls a "love story for the ages".

The 26-year-old actress herself also shared the image on Instagram from the set of AHS Season 7 with the caption: "I've joined #ahscult will you?"
