These 'Glitter' iPhone Cases Could Cause Skin Burns

Almost 275,000 cases made by MixBin Electronics contain a liquid in the outer portion that is mixed with glitter.

This recall involves all liquid glitter mobile phone cases for iPhone 6, 6s and 7.

Twenty-four people worldwide, including 19 in the USA, have reported skin irritation or chemical burns from the cases, according to the CPSC.

263,000 iPhone glitter cases made by MixBin Electronics are being recalled after 24 people, including 19 in the USA, reported getting chemical burns or skin irritation from the liquid inside after the case broke open and started leaking.

The cases were sold by Chinese-based company MixBin.

MixBin Electronics issued the recall on Tuesday. They were sold by major retailers including Amazon, Henri Bendel, MixBin, Nordstrom Rack, Tory Burch and Victoria's Secret.

The worldwide recall covers approximately 275,000 cases in the United States, Canada and Mexico and 22 different styles.
