Sergio Ramos hopes Neymar leaves Barcelona

Valverde has replaced Luis Enrique at the helm, while additions to the playing staff have been made and Brazilian forward Neymar continues to spark talk of a big-money exit to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Sunday Times understands that Neymar Santos Sr has asked PSG to delay formal negotiations on the transfer from Barcelona until after July 31.

At the moment, Barcelona are demanding that Neymar deposits the full €222million with La Liga to officially activate his release clause but PSG are not keen to pay the full amount up front as it will incur additional tax costs.

And Real defender Ramos says he hopes the deal goes ahead - as Neymar's absence will help the Bernabeu side next season. I hope [he leaves].

Ramos said, "I don't know, everybody is free to decide their own future", Ramos said.

"We changed shirts at the end and I hope that's the last time I get a Barça one from him, that wouldn't be a problem for us at all".

Ramos swapped shirts with Neymar after the friendly in Miami and explained why he called the 25-year-old over.

'You have to be selfish because the clubs don't think of you once you don't produce results, as I am an example of.

I told him one thing, which is to be courageous.

'He must now make a decision to keep progressing.

"I do not want to speculate".

He continued: "'I hope [Neymar signing for PSG] happens, but I don't have anything to do with his decision", Alves continued.
