Battlefield 1 now free to download from Origin and EA Access

It gives you access to tons of games in the Vault, including Star Wars: Battlefront and all its respective DLC; Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 and a handful of other favorites across both platforms.

While Origin Access on PC and EA Access on Xbox have slightly different libraries, Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 will be heading to both. This is the same time the In the Name of the Tsar expansion pack will introduce the Russian theater.

That's right, EA Access has made Battlefield 1 available to all EA Access subscribers on the Xbox One and for PC subscribers on Origin Access.

For those unaware, the Access service follows a subscription-based model for many games published by EA and even some that aren't.

Battlefield 1's explosive multiplayer action focuses on team play and unique combat roles on land, in the sky, and at sea. The new Operations mode is the standout addition with a sometimes lengthy PVP campaign across multiple maps. Currently, EA Access claims to bolster over 45 games whereas Origin Access has over 75 and counting. With both games now coming to the Access Vault, it opens the floodgates for new players to join. Subscriptions cost $5 a month or $30 per year. Meanwhile, Origin Access has classic titles dating back to the 90s, like Wing Commander. Plus, you'll also score 10 percent discounts on full purchases, and gain access to full game trials.

EA and Origin Access subscribers can now play DICE's World War I shooter.
