Kim Kardashian isn't having being mommy-shamed about Saint's vehicle seat

Many people lashed out her because they thought Saint would be more safe in a backward-facing auto seat.

However, the law doesn't apply to children who are over 40 inches tall or weigh more than 40 pounds.

'I have such unconditional love for my kids, explains Kim, saying that motherhood has helped her understand her own parents.

"I love her experiencing my life and what goes on, but I also love her having such a childhood life", the star said.

"Your child can use a forward-facing child auto seat when they're over 15 months old", it states.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that all toddlers sit in rear-facing vehicle seats until the age of two, or until they reach the minimum height and weight requirement, which in California is 40 inches and 40 pounds. "Please rear face your children until they max out the seat, usually either 40 or 50 lbs".

On weight-based seats, the law states a child must be rear-facing until they are 9kg.

In a new video posted earlier this week, Kim fired back at those shaming her for her choices, and suggested that Saint's weight made it safe for him to sit forward-facing in the vehicle.

"But what people didn't know is that Saint is now the weight and the height requirement to sit forward facing".

The doting mother pointed out that Saint actually weighs more than his older sister North.

"He is so cute let's protect this handsome boy by making sure is rear facing", one fan wrote on Facebook.

"Don't feel in a rush to turn your child's vehicle seat forward-facing too soon".
