Saints fall at Cleveland, preseason losing streak reaches double digits

Neither team greatly improved their roster in the offseason, as the Browns really only added Brock Osweiler to their roster to try and solve their quarterback woes, while the Saints lost Brandin Cooks this offseason and couldn't get anything back to replace him.

Rookie DeShone Kizer threw a 45 yard touchdown pass to Jordan Payton with 1:58 remaining in the fourth quarter for the game victor. He got the Browns into the end zone after a turnover set up the offense at the Saints' 21. But after Saints quarterback Garret Grayson fumbled, the Browns capitalized with Matthew Dayes scoring from a yard out to give the Browns a 7-3 lead.

The game won't be nationally televised, but you'll be able to check out the game on NFL Game Pass both live and as a replay if you're a subscriber.

The Browns failed to put together a full drive until rookie DeShone Kizer found Richard Mullaney deep for a 52-yard completion to set up another 1-yard touchdown plunge for the Browns. The second-year Saint hauled in a 32-yard pass in the third quarter, and 2-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter. On the Saints second drive, Kamara ran through the secondary for a 22-yard carry.

By the time Kizer hit his first big pass downfield, the Saints had taken a 14-7 lead behind a touchdown pass by Ryan Nassib, and when Cleveland went for 2 and the lead, the defense came up again.
