Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt 'call off divorce'

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt 'call off divorce'

It can be recalled that last year, the A-list actress filed for divorce from her husband of two years but things have come to a standstill.

The publication further stated that Jolie's reason for the stalled was Brad coming clean about alcohol and "commitment to self-improvement" in an interview with GQ earlier in May.

The couple ended relationship after being together for 12 years, after Pitt allegedly abused the couple's eldest son Maddox in a drunken state during a plane trip in September last year.

"I grew up with a Father-knows-best/war mentality - the father is all-powerful, super strong - instead of really knowing the man and his own self-doubt and struggles".

He added, "And it's hit me smack in the face with our divorce: I gotta be more". I gotta be more for them.

His determination to improve himself warmed Jolie.

In June, Jolie, 42, said she had taken a "big jump forward" when she moved her family into an 11,000 square-foot mansion in Los Feliz, not far from the home she once shared with Pitt, 53, and their six children - Maddox, 16, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11 and 9-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

And his decision to ditch alcohol was a great first step.

Pitt had also started therapy to cope with his drinking and smoking, which apparently has Angelina considering taking him back. "And that's all she ever wanted". "Everyone thinks they are going to get back together".

But according to US Weekly, the couple had a change of heart recently and has chose to "call off" their impending divorce.

"Normally you would see paperwork in an on-going custody battle, they haven't seen any of that, so some are saying in the absence of movement forward on a divorce, maybe a reconciliation is in the works", he said.
