Arsenal 8/15 to win against Leicester City in Friday's Premier League clash

Arsene Wenger's Arsenal side finished fifth in the Premier League last season, having won 14 and drawn three of their 19 games on home soil.

Guardiola said the current spike in football transfer spending, which culminated in Neymar's recent world record move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain for €222 million (£200 million, US$260 million), had been building for some time.

The reason behind this is that the Premier League side want rid of the defensive midfielder for good rather than run the risk of seeing him return from an unsuccessful loan spell. "Mesut Ozil ... we have plenty of the same type of players".

Within 20 minutes both players had scored as Arsenal avoided losing their opening fixture for the fourth time in five years.

"I don't think I'm in a position of crying, moaning, protesting. We will maybe change one important player".

"We did it earlier and we are lucky because it would be more expensive now", said the Catalan.

"I don't think I am in a position to be moaning and crying". Sooner or later it's going to finish.

It brings him level with former Arsenal favourite Kevin Campbell, who breached Manchester City swiftly at Highbury in 1994, while Colombia great Faustino Asprilla also punished Sheffield Wednesday in the second minute of the 1997-98 campaign while at Newcastle United.

In the build-up to Friday's game Wenger repeatedly stressed the importance of beginning with a positive result against Leicester - and the Gunners appeared to have listened to their manager as they made the dream start. We've got what it takes and the best manager out there! "It will not be easy but we travel to win the game".

Chicharito is one of the big arrivals at West Ham United this season. We are not desperate to have it (a deal) done or not.

He added: "If the remaining 25 per cent doesn't arrive by August 31, I will not moan".

Tottenham - It looks like a mistake that it hasn't strengthened its squad, though perhaps it still will before the season kicks off. Spurs had a terrific campaign last season and had it been any other season they would have won it.
