Sada El Balad: US will win war against North Korea: Senator Graham

"He has been very threatening beyond a normal state, and as I said they will be met with fire, fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before", he continued.

"Sen. Graham: "People criticize Trump for being blunt".

On Tuesday، Trump said the USA would rain "fire and fury" on North Korea، which some said could "only be interpreted" as a nuclear threat.

He said if North Korea should strike first, then the president would have options for military action that wouldn't involve Congressional approval.

But Trump's talk of "fire and fury" this week could threaten those talks. The semantics appear to be rhetorical, since US nuclear experts have called Trump's claims of a more powerful nuclear program "baseless" and "absurd". At a minimum, Pyongyang would renew its long-standing demands for an end to joint U.S. "The whole of the Security Council has come together behind that, and I think that we should see the President's public comments as one of the strands, one of the many strands of USA activity". "The Secretary General welcomes all initiatives that will help deescalate tensions and welcomes a return to diplomacy".

Yun and Pak are contacting each other through what's known as the "New York channel", which involves USA diplomats talking with their counterparts from the North Korean mission to the UN.

North Korea carried out two tests of intercontinental ballistic missiles last month.

However, to implement a full-scale military operation, Washington needs to have units with nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and nuclear-powered submarines deployed in the seas surrounding the Korean Peninsula, in addition to the USA forces stationed in Japan. "We should also make clear that, if the USA and South Korea carry out military attacks to overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political landscape on the Korean Peninsula, China will be determined to take actions to prevent them from doing so".

On Thursday, North Korean state media detailed a plan to launch four intermediate-range missiles toward the territory, suggesting that it would splash the Hwasong-12 missiles into the sea less than 25 miles Guam's coast.
