EPL: Burnley stun nine-man Chelsea

Chelsea broke their transfer record to sign Morata from Real Madrid last month in a deal worth a reported £70 million (Dh332.4m), with the Spain worldwide recruited to replace Diego Costa, who is set to leave the club this summer.

The Blues were already without a number of key players due to injuries or suspensions, but went one man down after captain Gary Cahill for shown a straight red card for a diving tackle.

"You get comfortable, think you've done it after a year - I don't think we'll let that happen here".

The reigning champions have refused to comment on the latest impasse with their wantaway striker, with head coach Antonio Conte replying "I don't know" when asked when the striker might return to London.

Unless Antonio Conte can organise his men into an astonishing comeback, they will be only the second defending champions to lose their first game of the following campaign. "Also me, I have to study a new formation with 10 players online, because when it happens with this regularity you must be anxious".

Burnley have lost all three Premier League openers in club history, and have never beaten Chelsea in six attempts in Premier League play.

"We tried until the end to reach a good result against Burnley".

"I think Everton are a really good team, very good squad", Conte added. Whether it's a home game, you could take a chance and start with zero, and so ...

"I am not anxious, I am ready to fight with these players", he said. You don't know me very well.

"I don't like this appetite for someone to send a message. I've scored 15 or 16 goals and I've lifted titles and other strikers have scored 35 and haven't won anything".

Conte was proud of the second-half effort, but acknowledged Chelsea lost their heads after Cahill saw red, a period in which Fabregas got his first booking for sarcastically applauding referee Craig Pawson, who came under pressure from the home players and supporters. We will find the right solution, we will find the right solution.
