UNITED face West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday - here's our predicted Red Devils line-up.

"Bakayoko is a good signing for us".

Watford, Burnley, and most notably Stoke City may all have seasons that they might want to forget.

Manchester United and Tottenham, who both play on Sunday, inspire less confidence.

"He likes me a lot and I like him a lot as a coach and as a person".

"It's truly incredible to see his strength, power and the intelligence he possesses".

Here, we look at some of the top football transfer stories from the British and world media in The Sport Review's Grapevine, published twice a day during the summer transfer window.

The United manager had outlined four positions he wanted to strengthen in to executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward at the start of the transfer window, but only Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic have arrived at Old Trafford.

United have three remaining players on the treatment table with Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young all continuing their recoveries from serious injuries sustained last season.

Defenders Eric Bailly and Phil Jones return to contention after sitting out the Super Cup through suspension.

Twenty teams would be competing in the 2017/18 Premier League, with the top seventeen teams from the last season, and three teams promoted from the Championship playing in the top English professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992.

"I am happy with the effort the club did and that the club managed to do 75 percent of the work before the Premier League starts and until August 31".

"I think we played everything so we don't lose this game", the Serbian said after a performance that thoroughly impressed Mourinho. I will just go with everything.

"United trailed home in sixth place last season, 24 points below champions Chelsea, and have finished in the top four just once since Alex Ferguson retired as manager in 2013".

With the rest of his players showing the strain in some lacklustre preseason outings - Conte admits that Matic's experience will be missed amid the pressure of defending the title.

Despite not having a contract, the 35-year-old is using the club's facilities during his rehabilitation. "The reality is totally different", Mourinho said.

"I'm happy with the club's efforts".

The Spanish manager believes the signings were needed to freshen up an ageing squad ahead of the new season.
