Trump says United States nuclear arsenal stronger than ever

According to Arms Control Association, a peaceful resolution to the escalating crisis is more hard than ever to achieve.

This tweet is not accurate.

"Donald Trump is unfit for office". It said the review should ensure America's nuclear deterrent is robust, ready and tailored to address 21st century threats. The review effort kicked off in April 2017, according to news reports.

Then, on Friday morning, Trump tweeted: "Military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely". The co-leader of the review, Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Paul Selva, said July 18 that a thorough look at the country's nuclear strategies will take a few more months at best. The first is to "prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons", a strategic imperative.

"Okay, that's Bill Clinton - not Donald Trump". George W. Bush produced one in 2002.

"But here's Barack Obama, circa 2009 on North Korea".

"The US arsenal is the same as it was the day before inauguration", said Daryl Kimball, executive director of the Arms Control Association.

There have been incremental improvements, but they have been trickling out under a plan begun under Trump's predecessor, Obama. If carried out, it would be its most provocative missile launch to date. We'll see.' Right? Whenever he says, 'We'll see, ' that's just his was of kicking the can down the road.

Experts panned Trump's boast of rapid improvements. In fact, the arsenal has significantly shrunk since the height of the Cold War.

It's literally impossible for Trump to have changed our nuclear arsenal in 6 months.

In a show of force, the U.S. sent bombers over the Korean peninsula. Yet somehow he's reached down into the highly technical, extremely expensive and rather thankless task of updating the USA nuclear arsenal and achieved measurable success in less time than it has taken to appoint a White House science adviser?

Kimball said the arsenal is actually "larger than it needs to be". It came out recently they have equipment that is 30 years old. "It would mean the end of their country as they know it". We rated that False. Last but certainly not the least, it needs to be remembered that Donald Trump is an important account for Twitter. and suspending the account of the USA president will send the wrong kind of signal to many other heads of state who use the platform. "It is now far stronger and more powerful than ever before", Trump said in the first of his two tweets.

We rate the statement False.

Updating these systems will also be costly.
