Barcelona "Not A Millimeter Closer" To Signing Dembele - Dortmund CEO

With striker Daniel Sturridge fit for this weekend's visit of Crystal Palace after he overcame a thigh injury, and with the club insistent Coutinho - now sidelined with a back problem - will remain after the window has closed, there is additional quality to be added.

After reportedly dropping his transfer request a day before the start of the Reds Premier League campaign, Coutinho has cast a gloomy cloud over Anfield and has the entire world of football debating if the club should sell him, or refuse to entertain any approach.

"Daniel, yes I would say he is available".

Quizzed on whether there had been any recent talks at all, Klopp added: "I am not sure I have to answer this only because we have said what we have to say, or the club said what we have to say".

"We have to wait and see if he's going to show up again".

"We have already said what we have to say". Tottenham are a bit like Liverpool in that there's always a price on a player.

Thommo is concerned that the absence of Adam Lallana, who has been ruled for a number of months with a thigh injury, would make the sale of Coutinho and failure to replace him even more concerning.

Reports in the Spanish press have suggested Coutinho would be willing to go on strike in order to push through a move to the Nou Camp.

When asked if he believed if the pair would both move to Barcelona this summer, Segura replied: "We hope".

"To be honest there is nothing I can say about his attitude because since he has the back problems he's not been in training", Klopp said.

"We need to work our way into a favourable situation and hopefully close these deals as quickly as possible".

"But when I asked the medical department how he is doing, there was no complaints".

And, speaking at Paulinho's introductory media conference, Robert said: "Not just Barca but any team looking for top quality players are getting involved in a very hard situation in this market".
