Yakuza 6: The Song of Life Gets an Official Western Release Date

SEGA has revealed the Yakuza 6 western release date and also revealed the collector's edition for the game.

Yakuza 6 looks like a wild ride, much like the rest of the series, and I personally can't wait to gear up one more time and beat the snot out of everyone who dares look at me some type of way as part of the Dojima family. Meanwhile, the "After Hours Premium Edition" will retail for $89.99 and comes complete with an art book, two bar glasses, two coasters and two ice stones. A second Yakuza game will be released this year in the form of Yakuza Kiwami, a complete remake of the original 2005 game released for the PlayStation 2. This should be a fitting end to the adventure with Kiryu as we know it, but hopefully we see more from the Yakuza series as a whole going forward. Protect table surfaces with style by placing your glasses on top of official Tojo Clan branded coasters.

To give Kazuma Kiryu an even bigger send-off, Sega will be releasing a Yazuka 6 premium edition.

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life was first announced at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS 2015) and later launched in the country in December 2016. With this being the first game to exclusively target the PlayStation 4 and not also have a PS3 release in Japan, expect the Dragon Engine to make the series look better than ever. The special edition will run you $90 Dollars.

There will also be a limited launch edition of the game, which just adds a hardcover art book that doubles as a disc case. In the meantime, Sega has release Yakuza 0 in the West with Yakuza Kiwami set to arrive on August 29th.
