Dak Prescott shines in preseason debut

"I don't know if I can honestly put it into words just how much better of a player he is, and we were just talking about how good his body feels", Prescott said.

Prescott, as he did so many times past year, made it look effortless with a deep touchdown pass to Bryant.

Dak Prescott expects to make his preseason debut tonight against the Colts. We have already witnessed a feaw of starters in different roles like the offensive line, but this Saturday night game we should see the second-year quarterback Dak Prescott, star wide receiver Dez Bryant and most of the first-stringers.

Tolzien led a 60-yard drive to Adam Vinatieri's 33-yard field goal in the second quarter, highlighted by a 25-yard pass to Kamar Aiken.

"We need to start faster", said Tolzien, the only one of the three current potential backups with National Football League experience.

Many folks expect Prescott to take a step back in his sophomore season, but his opening drive against the Colts sure did look a lot like Dak's play in the preseason previous year. Over that most recent campaign, Bryant had 796 yards and eight touchdowns on 50 receptions.

In the meantime, Dallas has Darren McFadden, Alfred Morris, and Rod Smith, who should all get a chance to step up and win the starting job while Elliott is sidelined. He finished with one tackle, which stopped the Colts short of the chains on third down.

Indianapolis' defense got the team's lone touchdown when Barkevious Mingo stripped the ball from Cowboys backup quarterback Kellen Moore, and LaVar Edwards returned it 15 yards to tie the score at seven in the first quarter. Of course, he's trying to get used to a new snapper and holder going into his 22nd season. Mack gained 45 yards on five carries as the Colts' leading rusher. The second was a 3-yard pass to receiver Lance Lenoir to give the Cowboys a 24-13 lead with 8:46 to play.

The Cowboys spent four weeks practicing in Southern California ahead of Saturday's home game at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
