JAY-Z also performed most of 4:44 during his main stage set.

On Saturday night, rapper Jay-Z honored the late Linkin Park front man Chester Bennington by ending his set with a performance of "Numb/Encore" at his United Kingdom concert.

A source told heatworld: "Jay Z apparently has a whopping five dressing rooms on a private half-acre plot at V Festival that has over 30 security guards on hand for the rap legend".

Thanks to its hugely popular hybrid of a single, "Numb/Encore", the Collision Course EP - the joint effort of Jay-Z and Linkin Park that redefined what a mash-up can do in 2004 - forever fused the rapper and the nu-metal band.

Bennington, 41, tragically took his own life at his home at his home in Palos Verdes, California, last month due to extensive battle with depression. "Please make some noise so he can hear you all the way in heaven tonight!"

His tribute was met with delighted applause from the crowd who instantly sang along. Jay-Z shouted after finishing the song.

Chester was laid to rest earlier this month at an intimate funeral with just a few hundred people in attendance.
