Dragon Ball FighterZ Gets New Android-Themed Trailer, Release Month

Release window aside, we also got to see some of the game's newer fighters in action. It looks like these Super Androids will be robotic clones of the Z Warriors and will likely act as cannon fodder enemies for the story mode. The long-awaited 2.5D fighting game created by Arc System Works will be launched in February 2018 on Xbox One, PlayStation®4 and PC Digital. That series highly-regarded in the fighting game community, though what they have done with Dragon Ball FighterZ looks to be taking things to the next level.

As said, the game will also come with a new online battle mode called "The Party Match".

"Dragon Ball FighterZ's Collector's Edition will set you back $139.99 and features a 7" Goku statue with exclusive "Manga Dimension" coloring. Both CollectorZ Edition and Standard versions will offer a pre-order bonus for all players including an early access to the January Open Beta, early unlock of 2 characters (SSGSS Goku and SSGSS Vegeta) and 2 exclusive lobby avatars.

A closed beta is planned for 16th and 17th September, but you have to register to be in with a chance of playing that.

Other than giving glimpses of the first known appearing characters (Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, Frieza, Cell, and Buu), this trailer also shows detailed gameplay scenes of the more recently announced characters, which are Krillin, Piccolo, Android 16 and Android 18 (the latter of which is being accompanied by Android 17 as her assist). If you love Dragon Ball Super so much, you will want to pre-order the game as soon as possible.

Dragon Ball FighterZ was one of the biggest surprises of this past E3.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in February 2018.
