Seahawks acquire OL Matt Tobin in trade with Eagles

Rees Odhiambo took over at left tackle after Fant's injury, but Joeckel spent much of his career in Jacksonville at left tackle, giving the Seahawks another option there, Carroll said.

On Monday afternoon, the Eagles acquired a 2018 fifth-round pick from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for offensive tackle Matt Tobin and a 2018 seventh-round pick.

In return, Philly will get a 2018 fifth-round pick from Seattle. The team could also move Luke Joeckel over from left guard, and rookie Ethan Pocic could compete there as well.

The Seahawks have been searching for depth along the offensive line since left tackle George Fant suffered a season-ending ACL tear Friday.

Running back Darren Sproles #43 of the Philadelphia Eagles is congratulated by offensive lineman Matt Tobin #64 after scoring a touchdown during a football game against the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field on October 12, 2014 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Last season, the part-time starter played more at tackle.

The undrafted free agent, who signed with the Eagles in 2013, appeared in 42 games and started in 21 of those during his four seasons in Philly. The Jacksonville Jaguars remade Joeckel as a left guard to start last season, and the Seahawks now have him there.

The Eagles will face the Seahawks in Week 13 this season.
