Mark Wahlberg And Emma Stone Reveal Hollywood's Gender Pay Gap

Check out who made it into the top 10 of Forbes' 2017 list of world's highest-paid actors below.

Along the way, Wahlberg has been willing to take risks and act in a slate of different genres, from fictional drama (Boogie Nights, Rock Star) and comedy (Ted, Daddy's Home) to crime thrillers (The Departed, We Own the Night) and action/adventures (Three Kings, Shooter), as well as real-life dramas (The Fighter, Lone Survivor, Patriot's Day) and sci-fi action (Transformers: Age of Extinction, Transformers: The Last Knight).

Actor Mark Wahlberg arrives for the premiere of "Transformers: The Last Knight" on June 20, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois. That amount bests Johnson (last year's top-earner), who came in second on Forbes' list at $65 million. The lifeguard reboot failed to make waves at the box office, but Johnson has a lucrative role on HBO hit series Ballers that keeps his bank account replenished. His earnings leaped 55% thanks to his high-octane franchises including The Fate of the Furious, xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

However, high earnings do not always reflect critical acclaim.

The top five is rounded out by Adam Sandler in fourth with $50.5 million and Jackie Chan in fifth with $49 million.

The combined total of $488.5m (£380m) earned by the 10 highest-paid men is almost three times more than the $172.5m (£134m) of the 10 best-paid women.

Also the list included Robert Downey Jr., Tom cruise, Tom Hanks, Samuel L. Jackson, Ryan Gosling, Ryan Reynolds, Matt Damon, Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, and others.

According to Forbes' 2017 list of the world's highest-paid actors, the Boston-bred star is now the biggest money maker in Hollywood.
