Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster revealed

That's what the new Aventador S Roadster is essentially about.

Lamborghini has extensively used carbon fibre on the Aventador S Roadster, some of which include front and rear bumper, side skirts, air intakes and outlets.

Four driving modes remain: Strada, Sport, Corsa and the new Ego, which allows suspension, throttle and gearbox settings to be adjusted separately. The powerplant is mated to a seven-speed Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission that sends the power to all four wheels through a Haldex Generation IV 4WD system. An electrically operated rear window also helps minimise cabin noise and airflow during roofless driving, plus makes the V12 a bit more audible. EGO allows the driver to set up his preferred criteria in each mode to suit his driving style. There is an engine bridge running from the back window to the rear that is covered in body color and matte black painted carbon fiber engine vent blades. Lamborghini says they weighs less than six kilogrammes, and can be finished in matte black carbon-fibre or a variety of Ad Personam possibilities. The Roadster is able to keep much of the very cool design of the coupe Aventador S in place along with some other cool features to set the Roadster apart. Also on offer is a transparent option to show off the V12 engine within.

Interested customers can opt to have their Aventador S Roadster customized to their liking thanks to Lamborghini's Ad Personam program. The Italian sports auto manufacturer has unveiled the model, finished in a shade of Blu Aegir, a paintjob from the company's Ad Personam personalization programme.

Overall weight for the Roadster climbs by a mere 50kg over the fixed roof S. Claimed 0-100km/h acceleration remains at 3.0sec, with an equal top speed of 350km/h and the same 8500rpm limiter.

The show auto is finished in a special Ad Personam colour called Blu Aegir, with side mirrors and windscreen frame in high-gloss carbon fibre and clear lacquered carbon-fibre bumpers, skirts, air intakes and cooling air outlets.
