David Johnson injury could prove ominous for Cardinals

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that the MRI will determine if he will miss "a few weeks" compared to "half the season or more".

There is an immediate positive sign as the x-rays performed on the injury have already come back negative with no breaks or fractures.

Johnson was limited to 23 yards rushing on 11 carries, and had six receptions for 68 yards.

He's the type of running back, who can really "do it all" and is the catalyst of the Cardinals high profile offense.

Nkemdiche said he expects to play this Sunday when the Cardinals meet the Colts in Indianapolis.

While it's too early to be making assumptions, the Cardinals will still have to prepare for life without Johnson on the field. Johnson left the game and did not return.

Left tackle had been Veldheer's spot on the offensive line for the past three seasons, right up until he hurt his triceps midway through 2016.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jaguars have confirmed that receiver Allen Robinson will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. "We've got quality guys on our team". This one won't single-handedly replace the production that Johnson brings to your fantasy team, but at least you'll be getting a fair share of touches.

Journalist Lars Anderson wrote about Arians in the new book "The Quarterback Whisperer", and we talked with him.

Arians said a final decision on what the team will do with Johnson will be made in the next day or two. Johnson ran to the left for a five yard gain before having the ball stripped by Lions defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson.

"Kerwynn was my roommate so I know he was probably tripping on me like, 'Why are you screaming so loud?' I was excited", he said. Penny spent previous year on the Cardinals' practice squad and played just one snap Sunday against the Lions.
