James Franco's New Movie About The Room Gets New Trailer

James Franco's New Movie About The Room Gets New Trailer

A few months ago, A24 released a teaser trailer for "The Disaster Artist", just so audiences get a taste of the movie based on the making of the infamous "The Room".

The movie is based on the book of the same name, written by Greg Sesteroand, that chronicles the saga of making what is generally considered the best worst movie of all time: 2003's cult favorite, "The Room". The adaptation is expected to be loyal to its source material, showing the troubled filming of The Room, the difficulties Sestero and Wiseau experienced when they struggled to break into Hollywood, and the odd friendship that the two share up until today. Not only does The Disaster Artist now sit at a strong 93% approval rating in Rotten Tomatoes, but it also received a standing ovation when it was shown at the South by Southwest film festival, with some saying that the movie marks a career-best for Franco.

A24 will release The Disaster Artist on December 1.

Almost seven months after The Disaster Artist was first shown to audiences at the SXSW Film Festival in March as a work-in-progress screening, the completed version of writer-director James Franco's latest effort had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last night, where it received rave reviews immediately afterward.

What do you think of The Disaster Artist trailer? While filming The Room's dramatic death scene, Wiseau pretends to blow his brains out and then rolls around in agony, prompting the script supervisor (Seth Rogen) to call cut and suggest he do that before pulling the trigger.
