Police verification of all Delhi school non-teaching staff in three weeks

On May 2016, a 7-year-old girl identified as Jiya studying in Ryan International school, Gurugram died after being hit by a speeding auto after she got off her school bus.

They reacted by saying this application is only for transit anticipatory bail, so as to allow the applicants to approach the court with jurisdiction to consider their plea for regular anticipatory bail.

The police also detained acting principal Neerja Batra for interrogation. Besides the security lapses, a well-resourced private school like Ryan International will have to take responsibility for not investing in something as basic as separate toilets for the adults who work for it.

Gurugram police commissioner Sandeep Khirwar said, "We have sent a four-member team to Mumbai to quiz Ryan Pinto, the managind director and chairman of this group and other top officials". The school, however, denied allegations of negligence and affirmed that Jiya was dropped on the right side of the road.

"The school's regional head and human resources head were arrested late Sunday night after a committee investigating the crime pointed at serious security lapses on part of the school management", Gurgaon police spokesman, Ravinder Singh, said. "We also arrested these eight Punjab policemen", Khattar had said.

The bench, also comprising Justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud, asked the governments and the CBSE to respond within three weeks. We request all parties concerned to refrain from holding Ryan School culpable of a crime where it is itself a victim of unfortunate circumstances.

Did the school conduct any verification of the support staff? "We share the deep pain and grief of the bereaved parents and family in this darkest hour", said the statement. He studied first at St Aloysius High School, Mangalore, and graduated in Economics from Loyola College, Chennai, before coming to Mumbai to find work in 1970s.

The bus conductor Ashok Kumar killed Pradyuman after a failed sexual assault and was arrested late Friday evening. The police were called to handle the protesters, most of whom were parents of young children enrolled in the school. Police lathicharged people protesting outside the school premises, reported The Indian Express.

Pradhuman's mother Jyoti said the school management "misguided" them after the murder and his father Varun Thakur was compelled to move the Supreme Court for a probe by the CBI.

According to latest reports, the principal and some teachers of Ryan International School's Gurgaon branch have been arrested following protests by parents.

Thakur said he feels there is "something fishy" and "missing points" in the police theory.
