Antonio Conte : Chelsea manager set to shuffle pack for Qarabag

Antonio Conte : Chelsea manager set to shuffle pack for Qarabag

The star Belgian was a second half substitute as the Blues thumped Azerbaijani side Qarabağ in the Champions League on Wednesday morning, increasing his game time since suffering a broken ankle in June.

"I saw the right commitment from my players, great focus, great concentration from the start of the game", he said.

"I think now it is time to win this". "[Eden] Hazard is trying to find the best form and we are happy to see him running on the field".

Conte's selection gamble was never in danger of backfiring as goals from Pedro, Davide Zappacosta, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Cesar Azpilicueta and Michy Batshuayi ensured Chelsea made a strong start to their group stage campaign. Conte still bears the scars from a snowy night in Istanbul in 2013 when Juventus suffered a shock defeat against Galatasaray that sent the Italian giants crashing out of Europe's elite club competition.

His injury situation needs to be properly managed as I expect him to be a key player for Chelsea this season if we are to have a chance of winning the title and doing well in the Champions league if not win it.

"We made lots of errors and I accept we must play even better". This victory was never in doubt - the Premier League champions utterly overwhelmed the visitors to Stamford Bridge - and it represented a flawless start to their Champions League campaign. We have quality throughout this squad, but we're looking forward, we're excited by this competition.

I really like Tottenham's style, the players, coach Mauricio Pochettino and how consistent they have become.

"We've been waiting for a long time to be back playing in the Champions League, finally it arrived".

ANTONIO CONTE hinted that he will rotate his team after the 2-1 win over Leicester at the weekend. The English champions proved a different proposition, despite Conte rotating his options for the second of seven matches in September. So, if I have to choose between the two, it would be the Champions League.

Qarabag were all over the place at the back but to their credit, Gurban Gurbanov's team were doing an effective job in keeping openings down to a minimum.
