Will Go To Supreme Court On Srijan Scam, Warns Tejashwi Yadav

Tejashwi Yadav held Nitish Kumar & Sushil Modi responsible for the Rs 2,000-crore Srijan scam in Bhagalpur and other districts of the state.

The Income Tax department has reportedly seized almost a dozen properties worth around Rs165 crore belonging to the family of Rashtriya Janata Party chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav in Delhi and Bihar. The veteran politician from Bihar said that he will not rest till FIRs are lodged against Kumar and Modi in the Rs 1500 crore Srijan scam.

According to sources, Bihar leader Tejashwi Yadav is also expected to ask the investigation agency to excuse him for his absence on Tuesday over "prior political commitments".

Tejashwi on Monday said, "The Nitish Kumar government created the Srijan scam".

RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's son Tejashwi Yadav who lost his post and the party lost its alliance with ruling JD (U) in Bihar on grounds of corruption charges against them. "The state government led by them is busy eliminating evidence and trying to divert the issue to save their skin".

He also alleged that Sushil Modi and his family members are also involved in the Srijan Scam.

Last week, Enforcement Directorate (ED) too had attached a farmhouse owned by Misa Bharti, daughter of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, in connection with its investigation into '8,000 crore money laundering case.

"Why did Nitish Kumar hide the issue of cheque bouncing for 27 days", Yadav was quoted by Press Trust of India. Tej Pratap also had made a highly objectionable remark against Nitish at the rally.Responding to a query related to the Srijan scam, Nitish asked the RJD leaders to approach the court if they do not have faith in the CBI probe into the case.

Earlier on August 26, the CBI had registered an FIR against Bhagalpur based NGO, Srijan Mahila Vikas Samiti in connection of Srijan Scam, involving alleged transfer of government funds to accounts of the non-government organisation in Bihar's Bhagalpur district. The police say 20 people have been arrested and over two dozen cases have been filed. The RJD chief was the railway minister in 2006.
