Justin Bieber claims he made Marilyn Manson 'relevant again'

"Then he goes, 'I made you relevant again".

Bieber wore a t-shirt with Manson, real name Brian Hugh Warner's face on it, while performing past year.

Justin Bieber's objective tour merch made a big splash when it first launched, but its heavy metal aesthetic (first popularized by Kanye West) has irked plenty of metal and rock icons along the way. "Bieber" on the back.

He said on Instagram: "Thank you Marilyn Manson for signing off on the 'Bigger than Satan" x Justin Bieber tee.

Manson first heard that Justin was planning to re-interpret his shirt past year when the brand's designer Jerry Lorenzo thanked him for "signing off the new design" and understanding. In an interview with effect of Sound, Manson now says that Bieber was - shall we say - less than grateful about the whole deal.

Apparently, Bieber was already wearing the shirt when he met up with Manson, and told him that he "made [Manson] relevant again".

When Bieber first debuted the shirt past year, the designer thanked Manson for "signing off" on it and for "understanding our approach an re-interpretation of your vision". So stand down son'.

Manson recalled that he fake praised Justin's "idea" to include his song Beautiful People in the concert and because the younger artist was unaware he made it all up he agreed that indeed, it was a great idea.

"Manson says he eventually 'took all the proceeds from those shirts from him".

"They didn't even fight, they were just like, "yea, we already know, we did wrong, so here's the money".

"Bad mistake to say to me", Manson says.

"The next day I told him I'd be at his soundcheck at Staples Center to do [a cover of his song] "Beautiful People".

Representatives for Bieber didn't immediately respond when asked for comment.

This week, Manson announced his new album Heaven Upside Down and also dropped a new track "WE KNOW WHERE YOU FUCKING LIVE".
