Trump tweets that he'll head to Alabama to support Sen. Luther Strange

President Donald Trump is coming to Alabama to campaign for Sen.

The president will make his visit to Alabama just days before the GOP runoff between unusual and Judge Roy Moore, the top candidates in last month's Republican primary.

Trump wrote that, "I will be in Huntsville, Alabama, on Saturday night to support Luther Strange for Senate".

"I am proud to have President Trump's endorsement in this race and I am looking forward to his trip to Alabama", said Luther Strange in a press release. They are vying to fill the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The victor of the Republican runoff will face Democrat Doug Jones in December. "Big Luther" is a great guy who gets things done!"

At a Saturday rally in Huntsville, Brooks said he has voted by absentee ballot for Moore. "He ran a very honest campaign - perhaps most importantly, a very honorable campaign". Brooks said Moore will "fight for America" and criticized "malicious" tactics of a PAC supporting unusual.

Brooks declined to endorse either candidate after losing in August. Emerson College conducted a telephone poll which puts Democrat Doug Jones in a statistical dead heat with either unusual or Moore.
