Asus Zenfone V unveiled with powerful features and hardware

Asus has added one more member to its Zenfone series of bestselling smartphones.

Asus has launched a new smartphone that is exclusive to U.S. carrier Verizon, the ZenFone V with model name V520KL.

Asus has launched the Zenfone V in the USA, and that might be the Zenfone 5 in Apple-speak, but here it's [vee] for Verizon. It has glass finish similar to Zenfone 3.

Yesterday, ASUS announced its Verizon exclusive ASUS Zenfone V. The design is reminiscent of last year's Zenfone 3 series with the concentric circle design at the back but with some modifications. The smartphone has a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution and something called Tru2Life tech for better outdoor visibility. It also has a 178° viewing angle.

Under its hood, the smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC processor paired with Adreno 530 GPU.

Talking about the big feature of the Zenfone V, the main camera is of 23MP, which does support optical image stabilization and comes with an aperture f/2.0. The front snapper has an 8MP sensor. SOme features include time rewind, besides smart remove, super-resolution, a panorama selfie mode, GIF animation, a miniature mode, and a very neat portrait mode. It is packed with 3000 mAh battery with PowerDelivery 2.0 via USB-C. The device retains the 3.5mm audio jack right at the bottom and also has a USB type-C 3.0 port.
