Destiny 2 Servers Will Be Down Again Today for Several Hours

Bungie has taken the Destiny 2 servers down for scheduled maintenance this morning.

"Occasionally, Destiny may be brought offline for scheduled or emergency maintenance, or to update the game to address gameplay issues or add in-game features", Bungie explains on it's website help article. Starting at 7 AM PST, players will no longer be able to log in to Destiny 2.

As well as performing some fixes to the game, this is possibly downtime to remove the "kek" armour design from the game which caused a mini storm of controversey last week, due to the similarity to a well-known hate symbol. Players that are already in game will be given a warning that they'll be removed by 4pm, or be kicked from the game's servers within an hour of the maintenance beginning.

What will you be getting up to during the maintenance period? In some places, it feels like Bungie is catering to the casual audience and making things a bit to easy for the hardcore players to achieve. And though that was an important in-game piece of the Destiny 2 clan puzzle there are still some additional features missing, like the ability to create invites for clan mates and a settings menu. The game that I'm reviewing right now will have vast changes and improvements three months, six months, even a year from now.
