Frontier Airlines to outline new Charleston flights Tuesday

Frontier Airlines has announced four new destinations from the Colorado Springs Airport starting in April.

A couple of months after it announced that it was returning to Fargo, Frontier Airlines has set May 15 as the date service will begin.

The expansion will increase the number of cities served by Frontier in the Springs to 13.

Flights to Miami begin October 5. Alaska Airlines had operated the route since November 2013.

Allegheny County Airport Authority spokeswoman Alyson Walls says low-priced carriers like Frontier test things out and make changes.

San Jose-Cincinnati, Ohio service will start April 8.Frontier will launch most of the routes as. "I greatly appreciate the Frontier team for their confidence and continued investments in San Jose". Frontier resumed service to the Springs in April 2016 after a three-year absence. The airline will operate non-stop flights between Trenton-Mercer Airport and the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.

Additional nonstop service to Atlanta, Austin, Denver and Las Vegas gives travelers another choice in airline and flight times.
