Final Fantasy XV Comrades multiplayer expansion coming this October

Final Fantasy XV Comrades multiplayer expansion coming this October

In Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades (its glorious full title), players portray one of the royal police, the Kingsglaive, as they fight monsters across the kingdom - but it takes place after Chapter 13, so make sure to make it that far if you don't want the main game's story spoiled. Watch the new trailer for this expansion below... In addition to multiplayer quests there will also be single player quests that can be completed for those wanting to enhance their characters.

Set in a world engulfed by darkness, the expansion casts players as a member of the Kingsglaive, with powers and unique abilities invoked from various Lucian kings, who join forces to bring the Light back to the kingdom of Lucis. You'll even get to play as Noctis' companions: Ignis, Prompto, and Gladiolus. Additionally, an Xbox Live Gold or PS Plus subscription is required to utilize the forthcoming multiplayer function.

For new gameplay experiences available for download (DLC), please visit the Season Pass website: Like earlier extra content, Final Fantasy XV's next release explores a gap in the main game's story.

According to the new video's description, Final Fantasy XV players will be able to create their own character and join up with three other friends.

If you purchased the game's Season Pass ($30), you'll get "Comrades" for free when it comes out on October 31, but it's also available as a standalone purchase.
