MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell Apologizes After Leaked Meltdown

Per O'Donnell, aside from running the show at MSNBC, Phil Griffin, president of the network, is also the go-to hammering detective.

In the next clip, O'Donnell finishes up a segment, and declares: "There's insanity in the control room tonight". "It's not my earpiece, it's somebody talking on our lines".

In his defense, the construction noise was blatant, and would reasonably be distracting O'Donnell as he tried to do his job. "I'm sorry." O'Donnell's rant was reminiscent of Bill O'Reilly's infamous meltdown from when he was an anchor on Inside Edition.

O'Donnell was contrite in a Twitter post Wednesday night, writing: "A better anchorman and a better person would've had a better reaction to technical difficulties". After staring into the camera and projecting the iciest of death-stares, the increasingly exasperated O'Donnell starts swearing.

"Stop the hammering!" O'Donnell shouts.

"Stop hammering. Where's the hammer?" Who's got the hammer?' he screamed. With his voice rising, he says, "What's going on, why am I losing this, why don't I have sound?" "Call f***ing [MSNBC President] PHIL GRIFFIN!".

Mediaite says the video was taped during the August 29 episode. Stop the hammering. Empty out the g******ed control room and find out where this is going on.

He continued ranting about the "f-king out of control s-t" before seemingly going into the next segment.

"So now I have to chase those stupid goddamn entrails you allowed him to stick out there".

"I told you WHY I wanted those fucking words cut". "It f-king sucks to be out here with this out of control shit".

"It just (expletive) sucks to be out here with this out of control (expletive)", he says shuffling papers on his desk.

I wonder what O'Donnell did to his crew after the video went viral.
