Raj Thackeray claims Modi government in talks with Dawood for settlement

In an explosive remark, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has claimed that fugitive mafia don and Mumbai serial blast main accused Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar wants to return to India and is now negotiating a settlement with the PM Narendra Modi led NDA-led government at the Centre, according to IANS.

Thackeray said Dawood is handicapped and wants to return to India on his own will but the BJP is trying to make it look like they are bringing him back. "Let me tell you this in advance because it may happen in the coming future".

"They will bring him back before 2019 Lok Sabha polls, and claim a moral victory".

The MNS chief was speaking at the launch of his official Facebook page.

"Dawood wants to come back to India. But, the BJP will claim credit for this to win the next elections", Thackeray said as per IANS. He started out with the Haji Mastan gang but quickly made his way up and became one of the most powerful underworld dons in Mumbai.

Dawood is designated as a global terrorist and is believed to be hiding in Karachi from where he runs a global crime syndicate. "International arrest warrant issued by the Government of India, also referred to as Hizrat", reads the latest document released by the Treasury Department in London.

Claiming that the Mumbai- Ahmedabad bullet train was meant for Gujaratis in the two cities, Raj questioned why longer routes like Mumbai- Delhi, Mumbai- Chennai or Mumbai- Kolkata had not been chosen for the high-speed network.

After making his Facebook debut, Thackeray said to his followers in Marathi that they invited him on Facebook and he was there.
