Second Trailer for Branagh's 'Murder on the Orient Express' Remake

Second Trailer for Branagh's 'Murder on the Orient Express' Remake

The second ever trailer for Murder on the Orient Express came out with full force on Thursday.

Largely set on board the titular Orient Express, his crime-thriller has cast Johnny Depp in the role of American businessman and tycoon Mr. Ratchett, whose murder sparks a full-blown investigation. As such, I'm greatly looking forward to his adaptation of Agatha Christie's Murder On The Orient Express, which I'm betting will be - ready? - a sleeper hit this winter.

We all know (well, those who have read the book or have watched the BBC show) how it all comes to an end.

"A passenger has died", announces Kenneth Branagh's Hercule Poirot near the start of this new trailer for 20th Century Fox's upcoming Murder on the Orient Express. One man must race against time to solve the puzzle before the murderer strikes again.

Written by Michael Green, Murder on the Orient Express features an impressive ensemble cast that, in addition to Branagh, also stars Tom Bateman, Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Josh Gad, Derek Jacobi, Leslie Odom Jr., Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, and Marwan Kenzari.

Another notable name involved in the project is Ridley Scott, who's serving as a producer. But you know what they apparently say, anything that existed can and should be remade, so now we have a new version, with Kenneth Branagh both directing and starring as Christie's durable Belgian detective.
