Runaway goat wanders into hotel

A goat on the loose in central MA is now in "custody", but not before going on quite an adventure.

It wasn't until 4:30 a.m. on Monday that the goat was "taken into custody" at La Quinta Inn on Southbridge Street.

Police say the runaway farm animal started wandering around the town Friday morning.

The department's Facebook post included footage of the goat wandering the lobby and halls of the hotel before being captured.

The owner's sister, Helene Blash, told InsideEdition.com that the goat was safely returned to the farm with no risk of escaping again.

People saw him on this road, that drive, this avenue, that street, and Route 20.

"They take off like a bullet", the goat's owner, Peter Blash said. Next it was seen near a storage facility, getting on the highway, and by Sunday morning police got a call that the goat was at a school.

"Over the weekend, the APD responded to hundreds of calls for service; made numerous motor vehicle stops and even several arrests.all of which is very typical for us", the post said.

The goat is now back home at a farm in Millbury.
