Square Enix's Left Alive Gets A Proper Trailer- At Last

Following the announcement of Square Enix's intriguing-looking game Left Alive during Sony's TGS briefing this week, a mountain of new details about it have come to light. Watch the Tokyo Game Show trailer below.

Veteran developers Toshifumi Nabeshima (director, Armored Core series), Yoji Shinkawa (character designer, METAL GEAR series), and Takayuki Yanase (mech designer, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles X) join forces to create LEFT ALIVE's dark and gritty world. Now, the first gameplay trailer has been released to show us more of Left Alive's catastrophic environment.

A second trailer was revealed today and if you pay close attention until the very end, you will notice very brief moments of gampelay.

The route of the game's progression is entirely up to the player and there will be replay-ability elements.

We also learned that Left Alive's story has one ending but the final outcome for your character can change depending on the actions you take.

Both the cinematic and apparent gameplay excerpts can be interpreted as further proof of an affinity with the Metal Gear Solid aesthetic, and with Death Stranding without a release date, 2018's PlayStation 4 and PC title Left Alive appears to be shooting for the same audience.
