UFC Fight Night 117: Gokhan Saki wins UFC debut with incredible KO

Legendary kickboxer Gökhan Saki did exactly what he wanted to do when he fought Luis Henrique Da Silva at UFC Fight Night 117 on Friday night in Japan. After winning his first two fights in the UFC, "Frankenstein" suffered losses to Paul Craig, Jordan Johnson and Ion Cutelaba, setting up this bout which looked to be a must-win for the 28-year-old Brazilian. He even broke his arm in a K-1 World Grand Prix match with current UFC heavyweight star Alistair Overeem in 2010 - Overeem just happened to be cageside to witness Saki's UFC debut.

Saki lands a quick right hand followed by a left high kick.

Saki back to picking Da Silva apart with accurate strikes.

And just when da Silva felt like he could potentially take over and wear on Saki's fatigue, the debutant unleashed a savage left hook which sent his opponent to the mat. Saki looks exhausted. He fires off a left hand that floors Da Silva. Saki all over Da Silva in the opening stages of this fight.

Suddenly growing in confidence it's Da Silva who is starting to piece together a sustained combination of punches and kicks that puts Saki in danger against the cage. Saki began to slow and get a little sloppy, but his heart pulled him through after eating a series of clinch knees and elbows from da Silva. And yes, Saki finished with his patented left hand bomb.
