The Bills have a long way to go, but upsetting the Broncos on Sunday was the first impressive win of the McDermott era in Buffalo.

Von Miller and his Denver Broncos were frustrated in Western New York throughout Sunday afternoon.

Instead, the Bills were powered by Tyrod Taylor, their embattled quarterback whose starting job has been questioned since his preseason performance lagged behind that of rookie fifth-round pick Nathan Peterman.

Bolles was carted off the field in last weekend's game against the Dallas Cowboys, and, despite returning to practice this last week, there was speculation he would not play.

Against the pass rush of the Denver Broncos, though? Gaines, followed by another 3-and-9 call on Tre'Davious White gave the Broncos another first down in Buffalo territory. The Bills put up 2.58 points per drive, scoring on six of their 11 possessions before the final kneel downs.

What does Denver need to do to get to 3-0?

After another false start penalty made it 3rd and 12, the Broncos had to settle for another Brandon McManus field goal to make 16-13.

It seems like a pretty safe bet that we'll be hearing about this from the Broncos after the game. The Bills drove 53 yards on 16 plays in a clock-killing seven-and-a-half minute drive that pushed Buffalo's lead to 10 on a 27-yard field goal by Hauschka with just over three minutes remaining (26-16).
