NC State DE Bradley Chubb forces fumble, recovers it 25 yards downfield

Haskins finished 15 of 23 for 228 yards as Ohio State (3-1) set a school record with seven different receivers catching a touchdown pass.

The Wolfpack's last win over a Top 25 team coincidentally was against Florida State in 2012.

N.C. State led ranked teams twice late in games previous year but fell short. The Wolfpack also took Clemson to overtime but lost. This was the case, although N.C. State brought the kind of gameplan and talent to take advantage of the situation, and credit them for doing just that.

Entering halftime of the NC State-Florida State game, the Wolfpack hold a 17-10 lead, thanks in large part to a huge play by WR Jakobi Meyers.

Meyers, who switched to receiver from quarterback a week before the opener a year ago, broke two tackles en route to the second touchdown of his career. Samuels' extra effort on a fourth-down run netted a 2-yard touchdown for a 10-0 lead at 3:20 in the first quarter.

Meyers caught a pass from QB Ryan Finley and took it 71 yards for the touchdown, juking an FSU defender along the way. It also marks the first time since 2011 that FSU has dropped back-to-back games. He went down with a leg injury against Alabama and was ruled out for the season, handing the reins of the offense to freshman James Blackman. Ricky Aguayo had four field goals, but missed a 30-yarder. N.C. State had a clear gameplan to get in Blackman's face, and there were moments when Blackman reacted to it well and managed to drop some attractive deep passes to his receivers. "I have the utmost respect for Coach [Jimbo] Fisher and Florida State". "We got to get that cleaned up to have a nice football team". Jaylen Samuels hauled in 12 receptions for 64 yards while reaching the end zone once.

Florida State: Blackman struggled early, completing just one of his first four passes, but he started to get comfortable during the third drive and finished the first half by completing 14 of 16. "He was making the checks to receivers". The lone turnover of the game was coughed up by Florida State as well, although N.C. State was not able to score any points off the turnover, but the fumble came at a costly time for Florida State as it appeared the momentum could be on their side with a drive down the field in a 10-7 game. The Wolfpack have won nine of the 10 meetings, including three straight.

Florida State: Travels to Wake Forest next Saturday.
