Warne denies involvement in London assault

Australian cricket legend Shane Warne has reportedly been questioned by police in London over allegations he hit a porn star in the face during a night out.

Ms Fox had posted a picture of herself on social media of what appeared to be a black eye, accusing Warne of hitting her in the face at a London night club.

She also shared a photo with the tweet which was the Metropolitan Police incident card that showed she had visited the Westminster police station.

"Just because you're famous doesn't mean you can hit women".

Later, Fox took to Twitter to proof her innocence and shared bruises and injuries she allegedly sustained at the hands of Warne. "Proud of yourself? Hitting a woman?"

Scotland Yard said, "Detectives are investigating an allegation of assault alleged to have taken place in a nightclub on Hertford Street in Westminster in the early hours of Saturday".

Ms Fox (pictured) tweeted: 'And no, I'm not lying.

Apparently, the assault claims have been denied by Shane Warne and his representatives.

He was not arrested and police inquiries continue.

Warne is considered as one of the best leg spinner to play for Australia.

CCTV cameras in Loulou's may captured the alleged assault, it is reported.

Back in 2000, Warne had lost the vice-captaincy after sexting a British nurse. The 48-year-old cricketer is a father of three children and split from his wife Simone Callahan in 2005. But, in 2007, when he mistakenly texted her a message which was meant to be sent to another woman, she left the Australian cricketer who had retired by then.

He has been linked to Aussie model Emily Sears, 32, after splitting with actress Liz Hurley in 2013.
