Fenerbahce eye move for Arsenal star Ozil

Fenerbahce have not won the Turkish Super Lig since 2014, but believe uniting Ozil with former Manchester United striker Robin van Persie could end their title drought.

Ozil is widely regarded as one of the best playmakers in the world, and has been an instrumental figure for Arsenal ever since he made his then-club record £42.5 million move from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.

The Germany global is yet to pen a new deal at the Emirates and a move is looking more likely.

Arsenal and Mesut Ozil have not discussed terms of a new contract since February earlier this year, according to reports.

The 28-year-old German genius is reportedly keen on a reunion with Jose Mourinho, although Express reports of interest from Turkey as well. He and the Portuguese enjoyed a successful relationship during their time at Real Madrid. The report claims that Ozil's advisors have sent out feelers over a possible switch to Old Trafford, and the immediate feedback has been positive.

The contracts of the Premier League duo are both set to expire at the end of the season.

The Manchester United manager is thought to be a long-time admirer of Ozil, who is ddemanding for £250,000-a-week from Arsenal.

"Real Madrid isn't too big a move for you".
