Finally, after six months, Nougat update for Moto X pure is out.

If you own this handset, you should receive an over-the-air update notification soon, if you haven't already.

Notably, the company in June did not mention whether it will be rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat or straight away upgrade the Moto X Play to a higher (Android 7.1.1) version.

When will Motorola release Android Nougat update to the Moto G4 Play and Droid Maxx 2? The September 2016 security update was the last update rolled out to the Motorola X Pure Edition; since then there wasn't a single software update for the device. But keeping the promise, the company has now started out updating the software.

Well, whatever it is, what we can do is wait for Moto to send the update. And the same consumed time. Recently, Moto X Play made an appearance over GFXBench the benchmarking website. According to a report from a Twitter user, the update is now live via OTA. Lenovo replied on the same that the update for the phone has been scheduled and just wait for some more time. Earlier it was denied by the Motorola that this device will not receive the Motorola Android Oreo update but let us inform you that now they have added this smartphone to the oreo update list and later or sooner it will receive the Oreo update anyway let's get back to the security update. Please share your views regarding whether you will continue with the Moto X Play smartphone or will go with a new one if the company totally skip the update in the country.
