Hilarie Burton Claims Ben Affleck Groped Her When She Was on

The Twitter user Shanice Brime responded to Burton by saying, "I'm so sorry that happened to you".

Ben Affleck spoke out against Harvey Weinstein Tuesday, stating on Facebook that he is "saddened and angry" at the "completely unacceptable" allegations of assault and harassment against the producer. "(...) I would have preferred to make him a high five...", she said at the time.

Now, one of the actors closely connected with Harvey, Ben Affleck, is facing allegations against him after responding to requests from the general public about Harvey's actions. "We must support those who come forward, condemn this type of behaviour when we see it and help ensure there are more women in positions of power", he wrote.

After someone on Twitter alleged that Affleck had groped "TRL" host Hilarie Burton in 2003 but "everyone forgot", Burton quickly tweeted: "I didn't forget".

"I didn't forget", Burton replied.

However, Burton wasn't the only female star who was shocked by Affleck's remarks. McGowan claimed that she had spoken to Affleck about Weinstein's behaviour but didn't pay heed.

Seriously, thank you for that. "I was a kid".

Burton, who was 21 at that time, said that she didn't know how to react then and laughed it off in a nervous situation.

"Girls. I'm so impressed with you fearless ones", Burton tweeted, posting a link to a video of an episode of TRL outtakes.

Ben Affleck would in any case have had to think twice before expressing his outrage. She also posted a one-minute Vimeo clip of TRL "uncensored".

However, Affleck's condemnation of the recently-fired The Weinstein Company founder failed to resonate with one particular actress, Rose McGowan - who has worked with the Batman actor in 1998 thriller Phantoms.

In a tweet, she wrote that Ben had spoken to her about the abuse during a press conference: '@benaffleck "GODDAMNIT!"
