Honor introduces its first smartphone with an 18:9 FullView Display

The device features a 5.93 inch LTPS IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

Honor 7X is expected to arrive in India either late December or early January next year. However, it doesn't get dual front cameras but a single 8MP sensor instead along with a LED flash. This year's Honor 6X offered dual cameras for under $200 Dollars, and a new teaser from the company is promoting an upcoming handset with a staple feature from 2017 - a near bezel-less display. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 processor with MaliT830-MP2 GPU. The phone comes with 32/64/128 GB storage and 4GB of RAM. The Honor 7X is successor to the company's much-popular Honor 6X phone and will be available in as many three storage variants: 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB, with all the variants supporting expandable storage of up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. A growing number of affordable Honor phones are starting to make it on their own across European markets and even stateside.

Another highlight of the device is its dual camera setup at the back. With the in-house Histen sound algorithm, the device also offers 3D surround sound. It has a 3,340mAh battery and a microUSB port (sigh).

The device is also IP67 certified, making it water and dust resistant.

There is fingerprint sensor, 4G VoLTE support, and the usual set of connectivity options on the phone as well.

According to Honor, the 7X will be offered in Gold, Blue and Black colours. Frankly, you could just right the whole spec sheet of the Honor 9i and call it the Honor 7X. The pre-order, however, starts today. Too bad Android 7.0 Nougat runs the software show, though maybe there's enough time for Honor to move up to 8.0 Oreo before the extra-affordable mid-ranger reaches the US. The Honor 7X will soon go on sale in the U.S, India, and Europe.
